Toronto Maple Leafs fans were celebrating in Maple Leaf Square outside the Air Canada Center as residents and team members were celebrating at Delmanor Northtown!
At Delmanor Northtown residents can enjoy watching or attending games for the Blue Jays, the Raptors, and especially now the Toronto Maple Leafs. Almost everyone has a favorite sports team, and some of the Northtown residents are die-hard supporters of our local Toronto teams. The Leafs have made it into the playoffs for the first time since 2013, then making it as far as the Conference Quarter finals is definitely reason to celebrate!
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been playing in the Air Canada Center since the winter of 1999, when it replaced Maple Leaf Gardens as home ice. The legacy & popularity of the Leafs spreads across the nation with Leaf fans to be found around the globe. As one of the original six, Delmanor is rooting for our home town team!
The franchise was founded in 1917. They were once known as the Toronto St. Patrick’s but when they were sold in 1927 they were renamed the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club and the team colours became navy blue and white. The Toronto Maple Leafs were honoured and celebrated at Delmanor Northtown by making it a formal blue & white day! Go Leafs Go!
