Delmanor Northtown held their 2nd Annual Charity Auction.
The designated charitable beneficiary this year was Second Harvest Food Rescue, Canada’s largest food rescue organization. It delivers fresh, perishable foods to the more than 310,000 people experiencing food insecurity in local communities each year.
It was an opportunity to get in on the excitement of a live auction and get deals on some wonderful items. With direction from their very own resident auctioneer, the audience was able to bid or outbid others to leave with a favourite piece.
Generous donations from residents, staff and community partners provided an abundance of items for the auction. Beautiful gift baskets, services offered by the Delmanor Team, antiques, furniture, jewelry, collectibles, electronics, restaurant gift cards, spa treatments, & a high tea afternoon were just a few of the items that went up for auction.
Everyone was thrilled with their new purchases and felt good to know that in only one afternoon in the Delmanor Lounge, the event raised thousands of dollars, which equates to more than double the number of meals for those in need!
