Delmanor Prince Edward at The University Of Toronto Planetarium!

Delmanor Prince Edward at The University Of Toronto Planetarium!

Delmanor Residents and their friends traveled to the farthest reaches of space and time in a fascinating planetarium show presented by the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy & Astrophysics.

The group explored the cosmos through sophisticated planetarium software and a live presentation by Dr. Ilana MacDonald, an astronomer in the University of Toronto’s 25-seat GeoDome Theater.

The show began with a tour of the night sky as it was to look on the night of the show. Interesting features, such as constellations, planets and transient events (comets, asteroids, etc.) which were visible that evening were shown. Dr. MacDonald then took the group away from the Earth, on a tour of the cosmos, which included  stops in our Solar System, a view of our Milky Way Galaxy from outside, and a trip to the farthest reaches of space!

The fascinating show ended with answers by Dr. MacDonald to all of the cosmic questions raised by the captivated audience from Delmanor Prince Edward.
