Delmanor Elgin Mills residents traveled to Ontario’s Legislative Building where they enjoyed a delightful afternoon watching a live theatrical performance and a historical vignette of some of the province’s most celebrated figures.
It was such a wonderful opportunity touring the building, seeing where parliament gathers, and since Parliament was not in session, residents were able to go straight into the chambers!
Upon the completion of the forty-five minute guided tour, residents were treated to a traditional English style afternoon tea in the historic building, consisting of sandwiches, scones, petit fours, macaroons and of course, tea.
Viewing our Parliament buildings is a very important experience for all Ontarians. Some of the Elgin Mills ladies were inspired when they were before the “Wall of Powerful Women”! Residents loved seeing where Ontario makes its legislative decisions as they had not seen the building in person before!
