History of Toronto Lecture Series at Delmanor Wynford

Delmanor Wynford residents and invited guests have been enjoying a monthly lecture on Toronto’s history presented by Richard Fiennes-Clinton of Muddy York Tours. Richard enlightened the audience once again in this most recent lecture, with important and interesting highlights from Toronto’s past.

With many Delmanor residents having lived in Toronto most or all of their lives, it was extremely relevant and intriguing for them particularly to gain new and exciting knowledge about the dynamic metropolis that is home to almost three million Canadians. For guests in attendance that were new to the city, it was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Canada’s most populated city.

Richard has taken the audience through the history of Toronto, with this lecture focusing on Toronto in the 1910’s. Through archival photographs, short newsreels, videos and music, guests we given the opportunity to look back at the most compelling news stories of the day, along with architecture, events, landmarks and entertainers.

Everyone in attendance has thoroughly enjoyed these presentations that transported the audience back in time through all of the incredible changes that have taken place during these exciting times in Toronto.
