Lianne Harris-Famous Lovers

Please join us where Lianne Harris will give a presentation on who some of the greatest real-life lovers were.  She will focus on their stories and drawings on tradition, eye-witness accounts, contemporary writings and actual letters.  Presenter Lianne Harris takes a peek inside the intimate, daring, wrenching, even tempestuous private lives of some of history’s great couples.

Mardi Gras
Tuesday, February 13th @ 3:00pm-4:00pm

Please join us as Delmanor Elgin Mills celebrates Mardi Gras in grand style with a real “New Orleans Party”.  Deidrey Francois and Trio will entertain us followed by some Mardi Gras refreshments of Creole, the Mardi Gras King Cake Ring along with a few “Mardi Gras” surprises.

Monday March 5th from 2:00pm-4:00pm

Please join us at Delmanor Elgin Mills as Michelle a local Richmond Hill Artist will lead a step by step demonstration and instruction to create on your own personal canvas “Trees”.  No experience is necessary and refreshments to follow.

 

St. Patrick’s Day
Saturday March 17th from 3:00pm-4:00pm

Come join us at Delmanor Elgin Mills for St. Patrick’s Day. It’s going to be a great celebration and party, as the Par Three Trio leads us in sing along while enjoying some traditional Irish Food and Green Beverages.  It will be time to go Green, hope you have a clothing item with a little green.

Ministry of Transportation Senior Driver Presentation
Thursday April 5th from 2:30pm-3:30pm

This presentation will provide information on:
Trends and Statistics in driving for mature adults; The testing requirements; Driving tips and some more recent rules of the road.

Travel the World Italy
Wednesday April 18th from 2:30pm-3:30pm

Come on a journey to the boot shaped land in the Mediterranean. Explore the land that has produced both Leonardo DaVinci and Linguini del pollo. From the mountains and wines of the north to the coasts and fisheries of South Italy, you will learn the beautiful nation with a deep history of art and music. In this session you will go on a virtual tour of Italy both past and present, learn some new words and meet some new people and places

Elder Technology Workshop
Thursday April 19th and Thursday April 26th from 3:00pm-4:00pm

Do you have an iPad, laptop or mobile device-but you’re not quite sure how to fully operate it?  Chris Bint from E-TAG  (Elder Technology Assistance Group) specializes in helping mature adults to understand technology. As a leader in senior adult education, Chris provides accessible technology support programs aimed at the novice user. Chris will return the second week to provide hands on instruction in a small group setting.
