Part Time (possible full time starting January 2011)
We're looking for an energetic team member with at least 3-5 years consumer sales/marketing experience, who enjoys working with seniors. You will assist with tours, follow up phone calls and handle move-in coordination duties. The position requires flexibility, as there will be some evening and weekend hours. Computer proficiency is required. Previous experience working in a Retirement Community is preferred, but not essential.

DINING ROOM MANAGER

Company profile: Delmanor Seniors Communities Inc. is in the business of providing upscale retirement residences in the GTA. Delmanor currently owns and operates 4 retirement homes and one Long Term Care facility. The company is focused on growing its portfolio of retirement residences by constructing and developing new facilities. Delmanor is an affiliated company with the Tridel group, Canada’s largest high-rise residential condominium builder.
Job Responsibilities:- This is a part time position requiring the individual to work for 3 days a week.
- All duties related to day to day processing of various billings to residents, processing payments, banking and processing of vendor invoices.
- Prepare and issue notices for rent increases.
- Maintain filing system.
- Process payroll time sheets.
- Assist in preparation of resident tax receipts at the end of the year.
- Communicate with residents and their families.
- Ensure data integrity and perform tasks as laid out in the company’s policies and procedures.
- Ability to meet deadlines proficiently.
- Act as a back up to office managers at other retirement homes.
- This role covers multiple locations and the candidate may have to spend 1-2 days per week at other retirement homes.
- Provide support to the Financial Manager and General Managers in performing various tasks as required.
Minimum requirements
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Completion of diploma in Accounting/bookkeeping will be considered an asset.
- Good oral communication in English is a must.
- Must be able to process high volumes of work quickly, efficiently and accurately and be able to work independently.
- Intermediate Computer Skills required in Windows Excel & Word.
- Knowledge of YARDI Voyager systems will be considered an asset.
- The position requires some travel between different sites. A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required.

Executive Chef
We are Delmanor Northtown, a brand new, resident focused community and a member of the Tridel Group of Companies, located at Yonge and Fnch in the heart of North York. We are looking for someone who will bring energy and excitement to our kitchen and help us create the best hotel style retirement residence in Ontario.
You are responsible for the overall operation of the kitchen and the delivery of outstanding food quality and service excellence through teamwork, motivation and strong leadership. You plan, implement and evaluate food quality and service levels to ensure Residents' service and nutritional needs are met and liaise with Residents and any appropriate dietary professionals as required.
To succeed in this role, you have minimum 3 years management experience including developing and monitoring budgets and scheduling staff. You have 5 year's progressive experience in a variety of dining environments, Red Seal Cooks Qualification and a Food Handling Certificate is mandatory. Experience in fine dining and management, within hospitality or seniors' accommodation setting is preferred. Your ability to identify and address customer needs enables you to exceed customer expectations and provide "five star" service excellence. You are a dynamic, customer-focused self-starter with excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
