GENERAL MANAGER

Company profile:	Delmanor Seniors Communities Inc. provides the ultimate in independent and assisted living accommodations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Delmanor currently owns and operates 4 retirement communities and one Long Term Care home. The company is focused on growing its portfolio of retirement residences by constructing and developing new communities. Delmanor is part of the Tridel Group, Canada's largest high-rise residential condominium builder.
Location:	Delmanor Wynford. This is Delmanor Seniors Communities' newest property which opened in January 2010. It is located near Eglinton Ave E and the DVP. Delmanor Wynford is a 120 suite independent living operation, with an experienced team and great reputation in the community.
Reporting To:	Delmanor – Chief Operating Officer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Has a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in the retirement or hospitality industry. Experience in progressively responsible roles where he/she has demonstrated ability in leadership, interpersonal skills, marketing and financial planning. Graduate of a certificate/diploma or degree in gerontology, nursing, social work, hospitality or business. Demonstrates that he/she is self-directed, accountable, an effective problem-solver and has proven leader skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
To create and operate a Retirement Community where the residents enjoy a lifestyle and quality of life exceeding their expectations.

Responsibilities include but not limited to;

Providing an excellent culinary experience to all residents and guests
Week end and evening shifts required
Ensuring "5 Star" service excellence is met
Keeping a clean environment
Following direction from the Executive Chef

Qualifications

Co-operative Team Player with the ability to work independently
Food Handler's Certificate
Must have experience in large volume food preparations, preferably in a hotel or retirement residence
Culinary school training and previous hotel experience in a "Five Star" property is an asset

DINING ROOM WAIT STAFF

Job Type: Part-time
Location: Delmanor Elgin Mills

Qualifications

Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Flexibility in working hours to meet needs of Residence.
Weekend and evening hours will be required.
Must have empathy for, and an understanding of the needs of the elderly.
Experience working with seniors an asset.
Fine Dining Experience an asset.

Must have experience in large volume food preparations, preferably in a hotel or retirement residence

Part Time MAINTENANCE Person

Job Type: Part-time
Location: Delmanor Wynford

An excellent opportunity for a dependable, self-motivated individual with related work experience and leadership skills.

Responsibilities include but not limited to;

completing various routines for preventative maintenance
general repairs and painting to resident suites and/or common areas
monitoring of building systems
assisting with monthly fire drills
quality assurance audits
Health & Safety practices

Qualifications

Co-operative Team Player.
Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and will have a keen understanding of retirement homes.
Part time weekend shifts
Good working knowledge of maintenance related issues
Familiar with provincial health and safety legislation
An Occupational Health & Safety Certificate is an asset as is WHMIS
