Passport to the World Continues at Delmanor Prince Edward

The very popular ‘Passport to the World’ Series had its most recent stop at Delmanor Prince Edward with a ‘Welcome to Egypt’ demonstration with a focus on Roz bil laban, or Egyptian rice pudding. Rice pudding is a common dessert in many countries, with each country having its own unique twist.

Delmanor Prince Edward residents and guests met with Sean Chubbuck from AFYA Hort Therapy for this interesting seminar that led the audience on a virtual tour of Egypt. The presentation then became hands-on as attendees assisted Sean in preparing a traditional roz bil laban recipe that has been passed down through the ages in Egypt. Sean enlightened the minds and palates of the audience with the qualities of Egyptian rice pudding that makes this version particularly unique from other types found around the globe.

This was yet another popular segment of the Passport to the World Series. Residents and guests left having a deeper appreciation for a traditional favourite!
