The Delmanor Chefs on Centre Stage at the Canadian Restaurant and Bar Show

The Canadian Restaurant and Bar Show is an annual event held at the Mississauga International Centre for food service industry owners, chefs and managers. This prominent exhibition allows industry professionals to come together to learn about new products, tools and services available as well as to share ideas and network with top culinary professionals in Canada and beyond.

This event is promoted to nearly 170,000 food service establishments in Canada as it brings its own unique benefits to the restaurant and bar industry. The pavilions and presentations provide an interactive experience where participants are given dozens of take-a-ways that can be brought back to their establishments.

One of the many special features and events that was held at the show was the Delmanor Culinary Team Demonstration. The talented members of Delmanor’s Culinary Team, Jordan Bruce from Delmanor Glen Abbey, Gaurav Saxena, Delmanor Prince Edward, and Sarah Wagner from Delmanor Northtown captivated the audience with seafood, pasta, and other impressive samples of food that they serve at each of the Delmanor properties that they represent.

The highest quality pasta used in the Delmanor’s recipes and in Delmanor residences is from Carla’s Pasta from Hartford Connecticut, distributed by Nestle Food Services, that is also a sponsor of the product. Chef Rick Secko, Customer Development Chef of Nestle Professional Canada was the MC for the cooking demonstration. With over thirty years of culinary experience in Canada with some of the nation’s largest brands, Rick’s role with Nestle allows him to continue working with food service teams across Canada fostering growth, invention and assisting with operational issues of food service professionals using his creative culinary solutions.

Much to the delight of show participants, the Delmanor Chefs demonstrated two signature dishes, braised beef stuffed ravioli served with braised beef short ribs accompanied with a port wine demi-glace, and sauteed shrimp served with lobster stuffed ravioli with a saffron cream sauce.

Delmanor was thrilled to not only attend the most unique food service industry show in Canada, but also to do a food demonstration to showcase the exceptional culinary talents of their food service team, and highlight the outstanding food that is served to the residents at Delmanor Seniors Communities.
