Technology has been a fascinating tool to help us learn, socialize and be entertained this year during stay at home restrictions and social distancing measures.
The Residents have been taking advantage of technology in order to stay in touch with family and friends, but recently the Glen Abbey Residents were given the opportunity to participate in a virtual painting class as well. Residents listened intently as an instructor taught them how to paint a landscape over Zoom Instruction.
As many of the Glen Abbey Residents love to paint, this virtual art class allowed them time to work on their creative side and be artistic, while not compromising the interactive and first hand instruction that you receive from a live professional instructor.
Safety is always our first priority, but thanks to all of the exceptional opportunities brought to us through technology, we are able to have the very best of both!
The LivingWell team was thrilled with the enthusiasm of the Residents during the program. Using our creative side not only improves our mood and sense of well being, but it also produces fantastic results too! Many of the Residents were surprised when they put down their brushes to admire their final result!
