During the month of October, Canadians come together to raise awareness and fund raise for Breast Cancer research and support for women and their families living with Breast Cancer in Canada.
Breast Cancer is the most common type of cancer to affect Canadian women. Due to significant advancements in technology and research around the world, the outcome of the disease has improved dramatically.
With COVID-19 restrictions in place, Delmanor Elgin Mills made changes to how they normally recognize this important cause. Team Elgin with the support of their Culinary Experts acknowledged Breast Cancer Awareness Month with delicious cupcakes trimmed in pink. Everyone was wearing pink outfits while safely enjoying cupcakes in order to raise awareness for Breast Cancer research. The Elgin Mills Team was able to raise one hundred dollars during this important event!
Showing our commitment to research and promoting education about breast cancer is important to the Elgin Mills Residents and Team. Even during challenging times, giving back helps to promote a positive attitude and feeling of accomplishment for the Residents.
