Happy 100th Birthday Frances!

Happy 100th Birthday Frances!

Over the years and during all of our widely popular dances, there have been many of our Northtown Residents that have been such fantastic dancers that nothing short of professionals could keep up! That has never been more true of current Resident Frances, who has been a star at every recent Northtown dance. If there was a four-piece band performing in our lounge, you were sure to find Frances on the dance floor out-dancing most of the staff!

Living in a community that has been COVID-19 free throughout the pandemic, we are still able to celebrate while keeping Resident safety as our top priority. Outside visitors are limited at this time, so our regularly tested staff step up to fill in whenever possible. In November, Frances turned 100 years young, so this called for a celebration!  There was cake, flowers, a photo board, and an honorary lunch with resident friends seated nearby.

The Delmanor team decorated our movie theatre for the big day, and set up a ZOOM party with Frances’ fellow residents, friends and family who all wanted to wish her a happy birthday. Some family even joined in from as far as Australia!

It was a lovely day of festivities….BUT the Delmanor Northtown team felt that we needed more. We needed a “King” for our “Dancing Queen”!

We knew only the great Elvis Presley, “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll” would be a match for this birthday girl. In came Matt, our General Manager who is an Elvis fan himself and a talented musician that stepped up to do an impressive Elvis impersonation. There is not much we won’t do for our residents so that they feel special, even more so on their birthdays. We all wish Frances a very happy 100th birthday and hope that she knows how much she is loved!
