We welcome you to participate in our “Passport to the World” series.  Each month we will feature a special country with interesting presentations specifically chosen for their educational and stimulating content.  You will receive your very own Passport during your first 2019 visit to Delmanor Prince Edward which will be stamped at each presentation you attend.  The individuals with the most attendance stamps at the end of 2019, will be entered into a draw for a $100 gift certificate to their favourite restaurant!  Let the traveling begin !!

The symbolism of Pretzels

A pretzel (known as Brezel in German, sometimes also Brezn or Breze) is a type of baked food made from dough in soft and hard varieties. Sean Chubbuck, from AFYA Hort Therapy  will create pretzels with you and let you know why a pretzel was a sign of good luck and spiritual wholeness!

Fairytales, Fables & Rhymes – “Lessons for Real Life” with Lianne Harris

Childhood stories are not the stuff of fantasy.  In ages past when illiteracy ran high, these fables and rhymes were the moral classroom where one learned all there was to know about truth, justice, faith, prejudice, love, sex, sin, crime and punishment.  Bedtime stories shape our beliefs and teach us about real life.
